MLB The Show 19 Cover Vote Top-7 Choices
C, New York Yankees
Whether he stays a catcher long term remains to be seen but one thing is sure, he made a huge impact over the last two seasons. In his two months at the top level in 2016, he hit 20 home runs, drove in 42 and hit just south of .300. He even showed himself to be a better defensive catcher than many projected or expected. Overall, in 218 total games played he has hit 65 home runs, drove in 165, scored 142 runs, and a career OPS of .912. Much like Judge, it is the market he performs in that will help his case in the MLB The Show 19 cover vote but it is not undeserved. He had a minor injury this year but it should not a big issue. No he is not going to hit 60 home runs but he could have a Mike Piazza-style career and that is Hall of Fame caliber. Luckily for Sanchez, there is no retirement period required to get onto a video game cover.
